The Princess Bride
Gates open 2.30pm, film starts approx 4pm.
PG, 1 hr 38 mins
“A delightfully postmodern fairy tale, The Princess Bride is a deft, intelligent mix of swashbuckling, romance, and comedy that takes an age-old damsel-in-distress story and makes it fresh.”
Critics Consensus, Rotten Tomatoes
“Thirty years on, Rob Reiner’s salute to Hollywood swashbucklers remains a poignant pastiche, gloriously unencumbered by CGI visuals and gender cliches.”
Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian
Gates open 6.30, film starts approx 8pm
12A, 2hr 14
“…an unexpectedly cinematic crime-and-couture romp, delivered with the sort of style, snarl and eccentricity that Cruella herself would likely applaud. She makes being bad look very good.”
Ben Travis, Empire
“With dazzling costumes, a great soundtrack, and a pair of terrific performances from Emma Stone and Emma Thompson, Cruella shows a classic character in an entertaining new light.”
